2015: Albums of the Year: Part 2!!

Here are albums I have been loving in the second half of the year.  Enjoy x

Pop + R&B

Emotionally Unavailable - Justine Skye
I know this is an Ep but I have to say it could pass for an album. My favourite songs are 'I'm Yours ft Vic Mensa' and 'On & On' are my favourite. I can't wait to hear more songs from Justine.

Unbreakable Smile -Tori Kelly
I found out about Tori during the BET awards and fell in love with her voice, so I just had to listen to her work. To be honest, she has one of the best voices out there and this album is amazing. I can't seem to pick a favourite song but 'Unbreakable Smile' is my most played.

Shadows & Diamonds - Elijah Blake
I always knew Elijah was an amazing songwriter but I never really paid attention to his own work until this album and I have to say I should have given him a chance earlier on but better late than never. 'I just wanna ft Dej Loaf' is the main reason I decided to get on this album. His song writing skills did show in the whole body of work of the album.

Black Rose - Tyrese
Tyrese is one of the greatest R&B musician ever and like expected this album is incredible. I love 'Shame', 'Body Language' and 'Without My Heart' are my favourite songs. This is his last album and that saddens me but I will hope for singles and enjoy the old albums.

Right Here Right Now - Jordin Sparks
I became a fan of Jordin since American idol and I personally think she has one of the best voices in the world. After her second album 'Battlefield' she took a break for six years (still wondering why) but I have to say this album was worth the wait. I don't have a favourite song on the album but I have been playing 'Work From home ft B.o.B', 'Right Here Right Now' and 'Unhappy ft Elijah Blake' continuously.

Beauty Behind The Madness - The Weeknd

Like expected Abel delivered his genius on this album. I have been a fan since the beginning i.e. all his mixtape and I have to say he has always delivered. I can't pick a favourite song on this because they are all good... The fact that there was a song with Ed Sheeran made me excited for the album. I think this album tells more stories about Abel's life and I can't wait for more music from him!!

WILD- Troye Sivan
When Troye released his first EP Trxye I fell more in love with him, he was no longer just a youtube I watched weekly he was now a musician with good lyricism and voice. So when WILD came out I have to say I was a bit excited and my expectations were met. I can't wait for a full album hopefully coming soon!!

Four Pink Walls - Alessia Cara
Found out about he when she had an interview on 'Ebro in the Morning', so I had to look for her. Love the mixtape, 'Here' is possibly my favourite song. Can't wait for more music from her!!

I Am - Leona Lewis
To me Leona has one of the greatest voices out there and it saddens me that she isn't as big as she deserves. I have been a fan since X factor and well the days of her first album 'Spirit', I was excited for this album and I do like it a lot.. 'Thunder' is my favourite song!!

Hip-hop

MZRT - Ryan Leslie
I have been told by people to listen to Ryan Leslie but I always said no, when this album came out I thought maybe it's time I gave him a chance and I'm glad I did. I didn't expect anything of it so I was quite impressed. I love a lot of the songs but 'Designer Pain' and 'The Wood' are my favourites!!

Elephant Eyes - Omen
If you know anything about my taste in music, you will know I love everything 'Dreamville' and I have been waiting for this album for so long. Even without my love for the record label, Omen is one of the best lyricists out there too bad he's underrated. As excepted this album has lyricism, 'Foolish Pride' and 'Things Change ft J Cole' are my favourites!!

Rodeo - Travis Scott
Travis being one of the most creative and talented people in the game I had expectations for this album because his mixtape 'Days Before Rodeo' was amazing but I was slightly disappointed. I do love this album a lot, 'Antidote' being my favourite song but I still prefer the mixtape. I know it will grow on me because I remember hating the mixtape.

Back to The Woods - Angel Haze
Angel Haze is my favourite female rapper, I found out about her through a friend who recommended I should listen to 'Werking Girls' and after listening to that once I just became a fan instantly. I loved her first album, and I love this one. Her lyricism is perfection and so is her delivery. I hope someday to get to see her live because I imagine the energy will be fantastic!!

What A Time To Be Alive - Drake & Future
I'm not a big fan of Future but I do love his verses on this album. As for Drake he will always find a way to make songs better. '30 For 30 Freestyle' is my favourite track. It had a mini tribute to Michael Jordan in 'Jumpman', a lot of talk about their successes and riches and of course a little continuation of his beef with 'Meek Mill'. The album did not have the expected lyricism for me, it still is a pretty dope album.

Incase you never read the first!

Lets see what the last quarter of the year has to offer...

within a Language we all understand."
